Description: Pole dancing has gone from a seedy niche activity to a highly profitable mainstream way to get strong. Most pole dancing equipment is meant to be used by 100lb women, and cannot stand up to the rigors of 180+lb men, or the highly acrobatic moves now being performed on them. We were approached to help improve the safety, function, and aesthetics of this product for a large NYC pole studio. We specified tapered roller bearings to allow smoother spins (yes, the poles usually have bearings in them!), changed the pole-ceiling interface to make it impossible to fall over in normal use, and created a solid locking mechanism with no parts to lose. The finished product is far superior to anything on the market.
